Cookie Policy
Last updated 8 October 2026
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Orbigate uses as few as possible. Analytics cookies are set only if you click "Accept analytics" in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time: open cookie settings.
Strictly necessary (always on)
These make the Service work, so they do not need consent.
| Name | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
tr_session | Keeps you signed in. Signed and HTTP-only, so scripts cannot read it. | 30 days |
tr_oauth | Protects Google or Microsoft sign-in from forgery. | 10 minutes |
tr_consent | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. | 12 months |
The app also keeps some data in your browser's local storage: a copy of your last search and workspace (so it opens quickly and survives a dropped connection), your display currency, and whether you closed the getting-started guide. This stays on your device and is used only to run the app for you.
Analytics (only with your consent)
| Name | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics 4: counts visits and shows which pages and features are used, so we can improve them. Set by Google LLC; data may be processed in the United States. | Up to 2 years |
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and Google's advertising features are switched off. If you reject analytics, Google's script is not loaded at all. If you later withdraw consent, we delete the analytics cookies on this site.
More
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking tr_session means you cannot stay signed in. See the Privacy Policy for everything else, or write to eddie@orbigate.com.
